Our client, a leading company in Consumer Electronics, and Home & Lifestyle Products industry, is seeking a skilled Senior Quality Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance process, ensuring product quality meets the company’s standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain all quality documentation like procedures, work instructions, and quality control plans
  • Oversee and manage life testing activities at manufacturing facilities to verify products meet durability and performance standards
  • Work closely with the Quality Control team on new product inspection/testing from initial to final production phases, analyze test results, and follow-up accordingly
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and drive implementation of quality improvement initiatives throughout product development lifecycle
  • Participate in design reviews to provide input on manufacturability and quality considerations
  • Conduct supplier quality assessments and support supplier development activities
  • Perform periodic audits at supplier factories to review process capabilities and ensure proper implementation of quality control procedures
  • Resolve quality issues by collaborating with internal teams, implementing root cause analysis, and establishing corrective/preventive actions
  • Partner with suppliers to establish clear quality objectives, metrics, and continuous improvement plans

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering or related engineering field
  • Minimum 5 years of quality engineering experience, preferably in manufacturing, trading or buying office environments
  • Hands-on experience with motor-driven appliances is a strong preference
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory requirements for the industry
  • Fluent in English and Chinese (written and verbal)
  • Proficient with PC skills including MS Office Suite, Outlook etc.
  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally to manufacturing sites in China
