Our client is a well known European importer and they are looking for a Sales Manager to take care of 2 major retailers account. This person will be an individual contributor, reporting to the MD.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for managing and nurturing key accounts, including handling current business, participating in annual tenders and expanding the client base and product categories.
- Maintain frequent and effective communication with clients located in Europe, USA, and Australia.
- Collaborate closely with counterparts in Europe to streamline operations and ensure client satisfaction.
- Work in conjunction with merchandisers to secure the best products at competitive prices.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure product compliance, develop new items, and meet deadlines for large-scale projects.
- Manage client inquiries, proactively suggest new items, and drive sales growth.
- Accompany clients on trips to fairs and factories, providing valuable insights and fostering strong relationships.
- Conduct market research, visit clients in Europe, USA, and Australia to generate new inquiries, and identify growth opportunities.
- Attend trade fairs and visit factories in Asia to stay updated on industry trends and forge strategic partnerships.
- Ensure accountability for annual turnover per client.
- Investigate and address any customer claims or concerns promptly and effectively.
- Determine pricing for orders and offers, considering market dynamics and business objectives.
- To succeed in this role, you should have at least 3 years experience in sales.
- Prior experience handling hardgoods is a must
- Familiarity with working with major retailers in Europe and / or US
- Native in French is required
- Good communication skills and solid / driven individual
