Accountant – Financial Reporting – MNC

Job Description

Our client is a well-established multinational corporation (MNC) based on Hong Kong Island, with a strong presence in various global markets. As part of their commitment to maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting, they are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join their finance team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
• Review general ledger entries, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Coordinate with various business units and global entities to gather financial data and ensure proper consolidation
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audit processes, providing necessary documentation and support
• Monitor and review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial transactions

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly desirable
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, with exposure to Hong Kong and international accounting standards
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting requirements, and regulatory compliance
• Experience in handling financial reporting for multiple entities across different jurisdictions
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in English and Cantonese, both written and verbal, is essential
• Candidates with a stable job history and a proven track record of delivering accurate and timely financial reports are highly preferred
